The Print School is a platform dedicated to helping creatives and emerging print designers boost their skills in an increasingly competitive job market. 

Longina Phillips Designs textile designers (some of Australia's most experienced and revered) develop our students drawing, painting and design skills to an advanced professional level, giving them the edge they need to succeed.

We are one industry icon (Lola!) and a bunch of designers who live and breathe print.

Meet our Teachers

The Print School Teachers are some of Longina Phillips Design's most senior designers.  Collectively, there are over 30 years of experience right here!  That's a lot of knowledge and insider know-how to share!

Katrina

Senior Designer

Katrina is a senior textile designer here at LPD. She has worked at the studio for more than 11 years. She studied a BFA at COFA majoring in drawing and painting before turning her hand to textile design.

Charis

Senior Designer

With nine years' of industry experience, Charis is one of our most senior designers. She studied Fashion and Textile Design at Uni before moving to the US to join the fashion teams of two behemoth retailers.

Bec K

Creative Director

With a background in fashion design, Bec K (we have 3 Bec's in the studio) eventually found her way into textile design.  With 20+ years in the industry, she's a wealth of knowledge.

Lyndsay

Senior Designer

Lyndsay has a BA Honours in Printed Textiles from Edinburgh College of Art. She worked and freelanced for UK studios, before making her way to the land of mosquitoe's and sun.  As a senior designer for LPD, Lyndsay's drawing and Photoshop skills are a class above!

Edith

Senior Designer

Edith Rewa has become a very well known illustrator, but many dont know that she came to LPD straight out of art school.  Her fine workmanship brought a new dimension to our work and we will forever miss the most genuine and talented Edie.

Angela

Senior Designer

Angela is a watercolour specialist and worked at Longina Phillips Designs for nearly 20 years. She produces beautiful, loose florals that sometimes verge on the abstract. She’s also a dab hand at adorable animals, infant prints and stripes.

Jenny

Designer

Jenny has worked in the fashion textile industry for five years. Her background is in graphics and fine arts and she painted in Paris for a time. Jenny as always had a passion for design.

CEO

Lola has a degree in Graphic Design, but is first and foremost a risk taker and dives in with 100% determination!

Zoom

Master Painter

Zoom is a master painter who's been with the LPD studio for 25 years. Originally from Shanghai, he trained in the traditional gouache application for textiles before working at Chinese printing mills and moving to Australia.

Sara

Head of Design and Strategy

Sara also has a background in Fashion, having had her own apparel brand, she's learnt what NOT to do and being the daughter of Lola herself, has absorbed the world of pattern design from a very young age.

Becky

Senior Designer

Hailing from Surrey, UK! Becky was 1st Class BA (hons) in Printed Textile and Surface Pattern Design. Becky has freelanced  for many top English studios and has been with LPD for over 8 years.  Heading up our Custom work, she's a wiz at advising our clients and reading between the lines!

Bella

Designer

Bella trained in Shanghai before coming to do an internship with LPD. Most of her training was on the job, where her natural talents blossomed, and she became one of our best designers.  After 8 years with us, Bella moved on to try her hand at Bedlinen, and now works at Sheridan Australia.  We miss you Bella!

Beck G

Designer

Beck sees shapes in light and shadow. Her painting processes are mesmerising to watch.  A flick of the wrist is all it takes for Beck to produce the most interesting results.
