In-Studio Workshop: Photoshop for Textile Design – Illustrative Motifs

$750.00

DATE: Saturday 13th of April, 2019

DURATION: 9am - 4pm

CLASS SIZE: 6 people

INCLUDED: All computer equipment + complimentary lunch & goodie bag

We are SUPER excited to bring back our Photoshop for Textile Design – Illustrative Motifs in-studio workshop. Easily our most popular workshop to date, this in-house class will teach you the process of using Photoshop to create stunning, illustrative textile designs. If you’re overwhelmed with how to use Photoshop to create a design OR if you just want to learn how our designers create prints at industry standard – this class is perfect for you!

With lots of opportunity for one-on-one tuition with our two senior designers, they will make sure that when you leave our studio, you feel confident about the design you’ve created and are excited to re-use the skills you’ve learnt with us, at home.

___________

Where?

Our studio is located in Surry Hills, the heart of the Sydney CBD. We’re surrounded by some of the coolest cafes and trendiest stores that Sydney has to offer!

AM:

We will begin with a fun introduction to get the day started! First up, you will be taught how we scan in our elements (you will have the opportunity to come with some of your own gorgeous illustrations, or you can use ours!). Next, we will take you through the Photoshop tools you need to know and how to clean up your elements. Then… the fun starts! You will learn how to colour your elements, create your layout and develop colour ways. Phew… then it’s time for lunch!

PM:

Repeats, Repeats, Repeats! After you’ve re-energised with a delicious lunch, you will spend the afternoon learning every thing you need to know about creating a seamless repeat. You will learn how to create a full and a half drop repeat, plus learn the theory behind it. Our senior designers will watch over you as you turn your design into a perfect repeat, answering any and all questions you have!

___________

Excited? There’s more!

Lunch will be provided (along with a constant flow of delicious snacks!), so you won’t need to worry about getting the munchies. You will also receive a goodie bag (filled with exclusive treats) PLUS a copy of our very special ‘Photoshop for Textile Design: Illustration’ Handbook that you can’t get anywhere else! (Normally only sold with our online courses, but we’re giving you your own copy for free – how neat!)

We can’t wait to see you at The Print School!

Please note: Never used Photoshop? No worries! We guide beginners through all the basic tools before working up to the more advanced stuff. However, you’re more than welcome to get yourself familiar with them before the day!

___________

Under 18s: The Print School is also open to 15-17 year olds. Please download a copy of our Under 18 Enrolment Information & Consent Form, and return a completed consent form prior to your course date.
