Take a deep breath and dive! We’re heading 50,000 leagues under the sea with a week devoted to weird and wonderful sea life. We look to coral, fish and microscopic life forms in vintage illustrations for inspiration. Combined with embroidery and sequinned embellishments to mimic scales and underwater treasure, or added to a floral design for a pop of interest, there’s nothing “fishy” about this trend.

We just can't contain our excitement this week as couture collections walk the runways. They were truly inspirational with a focus on traditional and beautiful florals in feminine colours, with a stunning ruffle filled runway from Viktor & Rolf, delicate flowers from Giambattista Valli, and oriental opulence from Schiaparelli.

It’s all about florals this week! We’ve got our pens and pencils out for a power illustration session, to work on this new batch of beautiful designs featuring intricate blooms. Colour is key in this fresh trend, with bright highlights and backgrounds keeping these designs youthful and infinitely wearable. THE PRINT SCHOOL: Our ever popular Floral Illustration for Textile Design course is back with our first class of the year. We can't contain our excitement! Come along to learn illustration tips and tricks from two of our industry leading designers at our Surry Hills studio, from 9am to 1pm on Saturday the 18th of February, 2017. It'll be a fun floral drawing session for those looking to improve their skills or to just relax and get your creative juices flowing!

Our new Maharajah story has us dreaming of an exotic escape to India. This opulent trend is a saturated cultural mix of batik, paisley and traditional references, as we take inspiration from a royal Indian heritage of textiles and a spicy atmosphere. Beading and gold embellishments make these new designs extra special.

Once upon a time we fell in love with a fresh trend, and we called it Narrative. These new prints explore forests and scenes inspired by vintage toile styles and fairytale dreams. Each design tells a story, combining pen work with botanicals and painted elements, adding surprise animals or cosmic elements for a hint of whimsy.
