Pack away your colourful gouaches, watercolour and inks because this week is focusing on all things black and white! We're keeping it old school and working only with shades of black and white to create illustrative work that purely focuses on raw technique and fine tunes our love of silhouette, details and intricacy. When working only with a monochrome palette, it allows the work to take on a life of it's own without the leverage that colour brings. Don't get us wrong, we LOVE colour but our latest collection will be focusing on bringing attention to the classic, good-old way of illustration. 'Hue' knew it could be so much fun?!

Somebody call Elle Woods because pink is back! More specifically, dusty pinks! This specific shade is certainly one of the most popular hues of 2017 and we're definitely on board! Also known to some as 'millennial pink', it has been categorised as the colour of this generation due to how immensely it is loved, particularly by the young. For this week's collection, we're influenced by the colour's ability to give off a soft, feminine appeal yet retain the ability to transform into many other variations easily.

We're channelling our inner Anne of Green Gables this week, because we're obsessing over all things Meadow Floral! Strolling through gardens and warm summer breezes are all we can think about in our collection for this week. From the dainty to the wild, meadow floral encapsulates the essence of every countryside garden of your dreams with a modern twist!

Here at Longina Phillips Designs, we've had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with brands like Zara, Anthropologie and Seafolly. Pretty cool, right?! We're incredibly proud to have worked with so many fantastic companies but for now, feel free to have a look through some of our current collaborations!

We never need an excuse to get out our watercolours but this week, we're all about creating all things ethereal and effeminate! As a medium, watercolours allow illustrations to hold an incredible amount of depth and allow the illustrator more freedom to develop a much more organic piece of work. In the studio, we're taking influence from all things watercolour to bring you our take on gentility and delicacy through our designs!
